Brookland House

Cambridge

Renovate and reinstate some of the original window openings of the rear façade allowing increased daylighting to the rooms at the rear of the dwelling.

The outbuildings are to be extended to the main house at ground floor level creating a seamless connection when viewed from adjacent access lane and the neighbouring listed cottage.

Create a garden space that offers views down the garden and to the wider landscape.

A timber glazed circulation route running along the garden facing wall of the outbuildings joining the accommodation created within them must extended to the ground floor accommodation of the house. Borrowed light from this circulation route must filter into the spaces within the outbuildings.

The details of the proposals must be historically accurate to match the original features of the buildings.
